Message from Allen C. Meadors, PhD, FACHE
To members of the UCA Community:
The UCA campus is committed to promoting and supporting a community in which everyone can work and learn in an atmosphere free of all forms of harassment, exploitation, or intimidation, including sexual harassment. This training will also be available to employers in our community.
Employers and employees will be held responsible for failure to comply with the laws prohibiting sexual harassment. The campus has developed a web-based interactive education and training program to advise faculty and staff of their responsibilities with regard to sexual harassment prevention.
I urge you to complete this brief but comprehensive online training program. You will have taken appropriate steps to become knowledgeable on this issue and will possess an understanding of how to respond appropriately to situations that may arise. Although this training program focuses primarily on sexual harassment, the underlying principles can be applied to all forms of harassment. Our goal is for all faculty and staff either to complete this program or to participate in one of several workshops within the academic year.
If you have questions or comments about UCA’s sexual harassment policy, or if you would like more information regarding the identification or prevention of sexual harassment, please contact Mr. Jack Gillean, Equal Employment Officer at 450-3170.
