To the Fuller Community:
The people of Fuller Theological Seminary have from its inception sought to create a community centered on the person of Jesus Christ, and on the authority of scriptures that teach us how to follow God's way. Within that context we understand that the first and greatest commandment is to love God, and the second to love our neighbors as ourselves. As part of our commitment to listen to and do what Jesus commands, and to be an example above reproach in the wider society, we seek to create and maintain a community in which students, faculty, administrators, and staff can learn and work together in an atmosphere free of all forms of harassment, exploitation, or intimidation, including sexual harassment.
In keeping with this commitment, we have arranged for members of the Fuller community to participate regularly in an interactive training program called Preventing Sexual Harassment. This program helps clarify the types of behaviors and comments that may constitute sexual harassment. The program provides important information concerning relevant laws and Fuller policies. While the program primarily focuses on sexual harassment, the principles it teaches apply essentially to all forms of discriminatory harassment.
Please join me in working to maintain a campus environment free from sexual harassment, an environment that bears joyful witness to the God-given worth of all persons.
Thank you for your participation.
