Message from MaryAnn Baenninger, President of CSB

and Abbott John Klassen, OSB, Chancellor
Dear members of our communities:
As Catholic and Benedictine employers, the College of Saint Benedict and the Order of Saint Benedict are committed to creating and maintaining an educational and working environment that is free from all forms of harassment and discrimination. Our commitment to the common good and to the worth of each individual is seen in the dignity and respect we give each other in our daily words and actions.
All forms of harassment are reprehensible and contrary to the core values of our institutions. In order to help us live up to our Benedictine values, we are dedicated to supporting, promoting, and encouraging all members of our communities to participate in an interactive on-line training program. "Preventing Sexual Harassment" defines what constitutes sexual harassment, outlines relevant laws, and provides examples and scenarios about the sensitive issues of harassment. Even though the primary focus of this training is on sexual harassment, the same principles apply to all forms of discriminatory behavior. The goal of the training is to provide participants the opportunity to learn and understand what behaviors they should avoid and to promote a healthier environment.
Please join with us in working to maintain a community free of sexual harassment, where each individual can live, work, and learn with dignity and mutual respect for one another. Thank you for your participation in this training.
Sincerely,
MaryAnn Baenninger, CSB President
Dietrich Reinhart, SJU President
